Bray Raku Studio creates unique, hand-thrown pottery which is fired in the Raku process. Pottery is removed from the kiln at glowing hot temperatures upwards of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Contemporary potters use a variation where pieces are immediately placed into a pit or container of organic material such as newspaper or leaves which erupts into flame and smoke.

pieces to $600 for largest sizes.

Thank you for visiting BrayRaku.net. Due to the unique process involved in the production of our work, some items may not be available for immediate shipment. We do our best to keep our site up to date with work that is available for immediate purchase and shipment and we apologize in advance for any delay in getting your items to you. In very rare instances a piece may be listed as available but could have been sold offline and not updated in our system. In the event this happens we will notify a customer immediately upon becoming aware of the situation. If they have already completed checkout through our shopping cart system, the customer will be given the option for a refund or completing the purchase as a special order which can take from 4-10 weeks depending on the time of year and our obligation to meet the demand of other orders. If a special order is placed Bray Raku Studio will email the customer pictures of the piece before it is shipped in order to verify it is satisfactory. Due to the spontaneous nature of Raku no two pieces are exactly alike. While we can attempt to match size, shape, and glaze, no two will have the exact crackle or color flashing patterns.

Shipping policy

Shipping rates on our site are set by UPS depending on the weight and dimensions of the product being shipped. Any items being shipped outside of the continental United States will have an additional shipping fee and we ask that anyone outside of the continental U.S. call us for a freight quote.
