Bray Raku Studio creates unique, hand-thrown pottery which is fired in the Raku process. Pottery is removed from the kiln at glowing hot temperatures upwards of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Contemporary potters use a variation where pieces are immediately placed into a pit or container of organic material such as newspaper or leaves which erupts into flame and smoke.

Contact Us for custom sizes and color combinations. Prices range from $60 for smaller
pieces to $600 for largest sizes.

About Us

nathan and catherine brayBray Raku Studio creates unique, hand-made Raku pottery. The work is made by the owners, Nathan and Catherine Bray, in South Orange County California. They complete the throwing, glazing, and firing of their pottery in a small studio located in San Clemente. This studio is also the home of Distinctive Architectural Products, a company owned and operated by Nathan’s brother Eli.

Distinctive Architectural Products specializes in custom millworks for the high-end builder using select wood species. Their products include but are not limited to all types of doors, sash, shutters, trim, and flooring. The exceptional quality of this woodwork makes it suitable for use in harsh environments.
